History

Vast-Auto Distribution is the brainchild of Mr. John Del Vasto.

Following his acquisition in 1986 of Entreposage Jarry Ltée, a well-established automotive parts distribution company since 1970, Mr. Del Vasto immediately recognized the business opportunities present in the automotive industry.




 

A winning partnership: the driving force behind your success!

In 1992 Vast-Auto Distribution entered into a partnership with Auto Value Associates Inc., one of the largest auto parts buying groups in the U.S. (known today as Aftermarket Auto Parts Inc.). This alliance allowed Vast-Auto Distribution to introduce the province of Quebec to the complete distribution and marketing programs offered by Auto Value.

In order to penetrate the Ontario market and strengthen its presence throughout the national automotive aftermarket industry, Vast-Auto Distribution acquired Ontario-based company Base Automotive in 2007.

Mister Muffler and OCTO Auto Services Plus franchises are also part of the Vast-Auto Distribution family, thereby consolidating its core presence in the automotive aftermarket industry in Eastern Canada.

Today, both Vast-Auto Distribution centres, located in Montréal and Toronto, cover at least 240,000 square feet and employ more than 200 people. Thanks to its strong business alliances and partnerships, Vast-Auto Distribution is a powerful economic engine that is positioned to move forward with energy and enthusiasm.
